Mola
"Steve [Lis] is the original developer of the fish. He first built it as a kneeboard for himself, then he built a few for his friends. The transition between the super slow paddling take-off, and the super fast speed turn-on shocks your awareness into a new time frame. The Fish has affected a lot of surfers the same way. You have to ride it to believe it." -Surfboard Design and Construction, 1975
Our fish is reminiscent of the classic fishes of the 70's. short, wide, with deep swallows and rails to match. I like the classic fish template; no wings, no shallow swallows, no channels and other non-sense. A graceful outline with speed built in and plenty of versatility. The Mola takes this concept and runs with it. We stuck to what works. we kept it classic. we make it in every color.
The Mola is also a good choice for a first shortboard. It paddles well, handle a good variety of waves, and floats you higher than more standard shortboard options. Good features if you are coming from a riding a longboard or midlength, and want to learn to throw the board around.

Designed for whatever waves you want to drop into. Many customers opt for fin plugs so they can change fin templates based on waves. others go for straight up glass-on keels. some like the no toe/cant classic fin setup. others like the more modern 1/4" toe/5 degree cant. talk to us about what waves your looking at, and we can make some recommendations. Most riders will enjoy one in about their own height to as much as 5 inches shorter, depending on wave choice.
