Charter Information

Come aboard the 17ft Boston Whaler Kelp Kritter, for a fishing adventure! My vessel features a new Suzuki 60hp 4-stroke motor for reliable, clean performance, an open layout, hi-definition Garmin GPS/Sounder, and all safety and boating gear necessary for a good day on the bay!

I focus on operating in San Diego and Mission Bay, with seasonal trips to La Jolla and Point Loma Kelp when fishing and weather conditions permit (these opportunities will be posted on the scheduling form when they arise).

All clients over the age of 15 must acquire and keep on their persons their own fishing license with ocean enhancement; failure to produce a valid license at boarding will result in being sent to buy one immediately, shortening your time on the water! We can store up to 8 rods upright, with plenty of room for gear and tackle bags. We are an artificials only service; we do not buy bait. All morning fishing charters begin at 7am, and return between 12 and 1pm. Afternoon charters (when offered) begin at 2pm, and return between 6 and 7pm. Morning trips may be extended on the water at the discretion of the captain and ALL passengers at the rate of $50 per additional hour (whole boat) payable immediately. We are 100% catch and release on ALL bass and shark/ray species; limit 2 retention on other legal sized gamefish like halibut and corvina.

I provide with all charters:

  1. a cooler with soft drinks and water

  2. some simple snacks

You provide:

  1. a hat and sunglasses

  2. your fishing license

  3. a good attitude!

All fishing charters booked are $250, with each additional hour $50. rental gear is available for $25 for all persons aboard if needed! Lobster Charters (November 1st to February 28th) are $300 with no option to extend.

Above prices are for the entire boat, not per person!

I am beginner friendly, and I can teach anyone to fish the bay! Whether you have never caught a fish before, or you are a seasoned angler, we can adjust the gameplan so you have the best time on the water.

All charters are not confirmed until you are contacted the day prior to the charter via text, call or email to decide meeting location. We are a dry operation; no alcohol allowed on board (for now)! All trips are in San Diego or Mission Bay unless otherwise posted! Cash tips preferred and appreciated, but Venmo appreciated onsite as well.

Note: for those bringing your own gear, I recommend rods and reels able to comfortably fish 6-10lb line, and 3/16-1/2oz jigheads and lures.
